Frank E. Peretti
This is the first book I have read by Frank Peretti, and it is also the first Christian fiction novel that I have read (even though I have written one). I chose this novel based on customer reviews and on the storyline. I was disappointed that it was not available as an ebook, but read it anyway, the old- fashioned way...a paperback novel!
I enjoyed it. It was very different from what I normally read, which is the horror, thriller, legal genres. I believe this was the author's first novel, and if so he handled a big story and pretty big cast of characters well. The writing is not the best I have ever seen, but it was good. The story at times was a real page-turner, but at other times not so much. I thought about stopping at one point and am glad I didn't.
I had not really considered the idea of angels and demons battling all around us unseen before. It was very interesting and makes you think. The story also addresses the dangers of a lot of the New Age practices that are out there that so many are being drawn towards. Bottom line: I'm going to give it 4 out of five stars. I highly recommend it.
