Decision Points

DECISION POINTS
George W. Bush

A good portion of this book was very interesting.  Getting President Bush’s perspective on all of the major events of his eight years in office made it well worth reading.  Whether you agree with what he did or not, it is good to have the opportunity to read from his perspective the whys of the decisions he made.  After all, it’s easy for armchair quarterbacks to criticize him…however, those same critics might have made the same decisions if they were in charge of the nation’s security during the time following 9-11.

I recommend this book for its historical value.  President Bush loves this country and explains why he made the decisions he did.  I personally agree with a lot of them, but even if you disagree, it’s still a great read and insight into what the thinking was that contributed to those decisions.

If you were alive during the Bush years, and didn’t live under a rock…oblivious to world events…then you should read this book.  IMHO.
