The Five

The Five, by Robert McCammon is still on my mind weeks after reading the last page.  Like it is with all great novels, I will be thinking about this one for quite some time. 

This is a very different novel for McCammon in comparison to his other works.  But he has become known for doing different genres, and once again he excels with this book. 

I was completely immersed in the story and quickly came to care and feel as if I knew the characters in the novel.  As a guitarist, music lover, and a former garage band member, this book has a meaning for me that is hard to describe.  Just like the song's ability in the novel to touch different people in different, personal ways, McCammon's novels also possess that ability. 

Like I have with Boy's life, I will reread The Five again from time to time, and be grateful to have it in my book collection.  Five Stars!  Here’s the Amazon LINK.
